Ventana Sur Preps Las Maquinitas-Let's Play Video Games Sidebar-Variety

Ventana Sur 2021 will host its first dedicated video game sidebar this year at Las Maquinitas – Let's Play starting later this month.

According to its organizers, Las Maquinitas was established to "gather representatives of the Ibero-American video game industry in one place to promote production and build a bridge to showcase talents in the region."

Game companies, film and television production companies, independent developers and programmers, artists, composers, animators, students and fans will gather to participate in various activities, including meetings with video game experts, a series of master classes, Several exhibition halls and dedicated network events.

On November 30th, Las Maquinitas will host a presentation of 13 Latin American projects in front of major industry players in the region, including distribution expert Digital Plug-In, award-winning screenwriter Patricio Saiz ("We are a nobleman"), audio design With production studio Zvook and production and editing company La Corte Editores, everyone contributed one of this year's awards.

This Guatemalan Rogue-lite lets you play as Rocco, a former thug who also happens to be a cauliflower floret. Al Camote combines top-down shooting action with energy boosting and action skills to bring action-focused comic book aesthetics to popular genres, as well as an innovative weapon system that uses Rocco's remaining life Value (skin is like his hair) as his ammunition pool. Al Camote has a multiplayer action game, created by the game studio Acroviu.

Heart of Artemisza (Edson Aguilar Velázquez)

Camacebra Games, a Mexican studio run by GameDev Edson Aguilar, brings the mobile rogue-lite "Heart of Artemisa", in which Artemisa is a half-demon who has lost his heart and escapes the dungeon without a companion.
