32 teams will participate in the Vatukoro California Cup 7s Championship, which will be held at the Ra Sports Complex venue from November 18th to 19th.

Wadigi Salvo, Army Nadro and Namuaniwaqa Eagles are the top-seeded players competing for the $3,000 prize of the Cup Championship.

Event spokesperson Vetaia Koro stated that their main goal is to raise funds to purchase a 5-ton truck, which will enable Vatukoro Rugby Club to transport players to the game and help by transporting farmers to the Suva market to sell their products Community week.

Koro said they hope to nurture their community and the boys in Ra province by showing their hidden talents in rugby.

"In this kind of small game, Vilimoni Delasau, Sireli Bobo and Timoci Matanavou were spotted and chose to wear the Fiji 7s jersey," he said.

"Our province has a lot of talented players, that's why we want to host this game.

"The Nakaiolo Rugby Club will come from afar from Kadavu to participate in the match with Maravu from Taveuni."

The cup runner-up will receive $1,300, while the semi-final losers will each receive $600.
