ANN ARBOR, MI — When Ann Arbor got its official city flag in the 1950s, it was a sight to behold.

City Clerk Fred Looker and City Administrator Guy Larcom Jr. were photographed examining the 3-by-5-foot banner the day after it was delivered to city hall in October 1959.
