Sep. 22—A 500,000-square-foot warehouse is planned for Hudson, with loading bays for more than 100 trucks and parking for hundreds of workers.

A 75-acre parcel at 161 Lowell Road was sold for $6.6 million to DE, LLC. The site is located off the newly constructed Friar Drive and is one of the last remaining parcels in the Sagamore Industrial Park.

The plans call for a high-bay warehouse to include 104 loading doors on two sides, 362 employee parking spaces and 71 trailer storage spaces, according to SVN Masiello Group, which represented the seller.

According to a blog post, the buyer says the project "aligns perfectly with the economic development goals of master planned Sagamore Industrial Park and based on our experience show the project will provide substantial tax revenues, attract new business and encourage employment growth for Hudson residents with little impact on the town's resources."

As Texas officials moved to restrict abortion, promote Christianity in schools and the state's power grid teetered on collapse, oil worker Steven Beaman and his wife Hayley Hollands decided it was time to live elsewhere. By April, Beaman had joined a communications firm in Colorado, leaving behind a more than decade-long career in oil and gas, and Hollands, an attorney, soon followed, forsaking the state over its increasingly strident politics and polarization. "It is kind of the first time I've reckoned with the idea that I don't think I'm going to live in my home state ever again," said Hollands.

Until recently, going the extra mile at work was a leadership trait that bosses coveted and workers were eager to demonstrate. The "it's not my job" mentality was the classic hallmark of a loafer who...

Getting paid to own stocks is rewarding any time, but in a market under pressure from rising interest rates, historically high inflation, and a looming recession, it's nice to know you have some downside cushioning. Passive income investing helps offset any decline in capital appreciation while providing a vote of confidence that a business splitting its profits with shareholders believes its long-term growth story remains intact.

Although it is unfortunate that you do not have access to an employer-sponsored retirement plan, you’re far from alone. You mention having individual retirement accounts, but you could look into opening a Roth IRA, which is funded with after-tax dollars. “I would start there,” said Chris Hardy, a certified financial planner at Paramount Investment Advisors.
