The AAP MLA from Greater Kailash, Saurabh Bhardwaj on Sunday flagged off free of cost shuttle service for the devotees or visitors in Chittaranjan Park (CR Park), on the auspicious occasion of Durga Puja.

The smart electric cabs will work as a shuttle between Nehru Place Metro Station and CR Park Durga Puja venue. The air-conditioned (AC) shuttle service will be available to the common people of Delhi visiting Durga Puja till October 4.

After flagging off the smart shuttle service, Bhardwaj said that the decision to have a fleet of smart electric shuttle service between Nehru Place metro station and CR Park Durga Puja venue, will eliminate the heavy traffic congestion that usually happens during the Durga Puja in and around CR Park during this festive season.

“The common people of Delhi will be served better to celebrate this year’s Durga Puja which is happening in full flow almost after two years,” said Bharadwaj.

The Covid-led restrictions had impacted Durga Puja celebrations for the past two years in the area. Bhardwaj also took stock of the traffic situation of the CR Park area where thousands of visitors come every day to celebrate the most important Bengali festival. For its grand Durga Puja, CR Park is often termed as New Delhi’s mini-Bengal.

 Saurabh Bhardwaj also met the Kali Temple management and assured them of all the help and cooperation in terms of traffic management, security, water and other necessities that would allow Durga Puja to be celebrated with full vigor and enthusiasm in CR Park this year.
